Local 53 is a stagehand union that received it's charter on July 21, 1898
We are a group of dedicated skilled union workers in the technical craft of the live entertainment industry.
Our technicians are skilled in various departments of Sound, Lighting, Props, Rigging, Video, Carpentry, Wardrobe, Makeup, Truck Loading, Stage and Roof Set Up,
Spot Light operation, Fork Lift and High Lift Operations, All aspects of stagehand work, Stage and Production Management, along with Theater and Arena Restoration.
The territory that we service is the Western portion of Massachusetts which encompasses Springfield to Pittsfield. Some of the clients that we service are the Mass
